On Saturday around 1,000 had to be moved from a village in Wales as the effects of flooding took hold, with around 150 people rescued.
There are also reports of main roads and motorways being closed this morning, including parts of the M1 and the A27 in the south of England.
In total, 31 severe weather alerts have been issued, 21 in the south of England, three in Wales and the rest through the Midlands and northern England.
Further rain is expected to affect parts of Scotland later today.
It is important to point out however that the Met Office have only so far issued weather alerts, meaning that floods are possible but there are no flood warnings, where floods are likely, in place at the moment.
Householders in Wales have begun to return to their homes after being moved out on Saturday to survey the damage, though they have been warned to be careful when they get there. Others from caravan parks were also evacuated, as they were considered most at risk.
