Glorious Morning

Elaine Rickett devotes her retired life to her garden, especially growing vegetables. Join her as she embarks on all manner of gardening projects.

Got up this morning at the 'crack of sparrers' as they say, to a frosty but gloriously sunny morning and cycled to the allotment. Fed Alf and Ed, my two sheep, then dug a few rows on the potato patch. Cycled home and had 'eggy soldiers with marmite for breakfast'.

What more could an old gal ask?

Aah! Simple pleasures.

Elaine has been running her own smallholding for the last twenty years but has officially retired now, and is devoting her life to her first love, gardening - particularly veg. growing. Cycling, writing and reading come high on her list of indulgences now that she has more time.
