Poem: Daffodils

by Cheryl Campbell

Poet Cheryl Campbell professes her love of the beautiful yellow flowers, and what they mean to her.

Daffodils in the gardens,

swaying in the breeze.

Their green stocks a-shaking,

their yellow heads at ease.

They brighten-up not just our gardens,

but every ones’ spirits too,

showing that ‘spring’ has finally ‘sprung’

ending the winter blues!

Peoples’ smiles are big and bright,

they float on air - they feel so light.

As stopping in the street they talk,

or hand-in-hand, they take a walk.

Daffodils, daffodils, swaying in the breeze.

You make this time of year feel so special - so extreme.
